Sustainability Practices

Sustainability is an integral part of our both Big Island Coffee Roasters and Conscious Coconut. Our scrubs are sustainably packaged in 4oz glass jars & recycled paper boxes.

Big Island Coffee Roasters sustainable practices include utilizing rainwater for coffee processing and using 100% renewable electrical energy, using sheep instead of glyphosate to eliminate weeds and mow the small farms. Learn more about their sustainability here.

Conscious Coconut Oil is certified organic and Fair Trade. Supporting fair trade practices means that our team ensures our growers and workers are paid appropriately for their time and work. Key Ingredients

Big Island Coffee Roasters Kona Coffee 100% Hawaiian locally sourced, direct trade, specialty-grade organic coffee. Packed with antioxidants and finely ground for a gentle exfoliation, this collagen-promoting ingredient provides ample benefits. Caffeine is known to have diuretic properties to reduce water retention in the body - a common cause of cellulite. Coffee also contains polyphenols such as hydrocinnamic and chlorogenic acids, which reduce oxidative stress from free radicals, protecting from inflammation.

Coconut Oil boasts an abundance of Medium Chain Triglycerides which are full of natural antibacterial, anti inflammatory and antifungal properties. Coconut oil’s other companion vitamin E is packed with powerful antioxidant properties that act as a barrier between your skin and oxidation from the environment. It naturally reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks, rashes and other irritations while infusing your skin with hydration.

Shea Butter comes from African shea tree nuts which boast an abundance of antioxidants and vitamins. It is rich in five essential fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamins E and D, and allantoin which is good for healing skin irritations. Shea helps to fade scars and can ease symptoms from eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. The combination of components in shea butter also helps neutralize free radical damage, which may help reduce signs of aging.

Raw Cane Sugar is a rich source of naturally derived Alpha Hydroxy Acids like glycolic acid, which increase cell turnover and minimize pores. Raw sugar is also gentle on the skin, making it an excellent ingredient for all skin types.

Coconut oil liquefies at 76 degrees and is solid at room temperature. If you find your tube solidified, massage it between your hands or run tube under warm water.
