Our hearts are extremely heavy after the devastating effects of both Hurricane Milton & Hurricane Helene on our community. The west coast of Florida is our home and means the absolute world to us. We're in this together and are committed to helping rebuild, boots on the ground, for months and years to come.
Whether you’ve been directly affected or you're looking for ways to help, this blog will share important resources for recovery and ways to get involved. We will continue to add to this as resources come.
If you were affected:
- Visit floridadisaster.org to find any and all helpful, up to date recovery resources like shelters, point of distribution sites, closures, wifi-hotspots, executive orders, and more.
- Call 211 for information and referral to food, housing, health, and mental health services
- Complete this anonymous questionnaire to get the most accurate, personalized list of possible assistance
- Call (800) 621-3362 to apply for individual assistance through FEMA
- If you need shelter, find open options here.
- Looking for your loved ones? Check out Red Cross Reunification Portal.
- Disaster Distress Helpline: Call or text 1-800-985-5990 to reach this national hotline that provides free 24/7, crisis counseling from trained counselors ready to help. This is a great resource for anyone struggling.
- Feeding America: They are actively working with partner food banks to provide food and supplies.
- Check out the citizen-reported flood map before driving or if you are returning from evacuating.
