How You Can Use Coconut Oil for Shaving

You might have heard that you can use coconut oil as a moisturizer, to remove makeup, or for baking, but guess what? There’s another secret beauty hack for coconut oil! It’s truly a versatile product you can take from the bathroom to the kitchen and more.

Coconut oil is meant to soothe and moisturize your skin and it’s an excellent alternative to store bought shaving cream. Containing a high number of fatty acids like lauric acid, this can be something you didn’t even know your skin needed!

How to Shave with Coconut Oil

  • Coconut oil is best kept at room temperature. Rub in between your hands to soften and apply.
  • Apply coconut oil in the spot you are going to shave. Hint: You can use it everywhere on your body! Allow it to sink in and soften on the skin.
  • After waiting a few seconds, shave normally and rinse the razor often so the coconut oil doesn’t build up on it.
  • After, you can also apply coconut oil to your skin for maximum moisture as an after shave.

The beauty of shaving with coconut oil is that it softens your skin and to follicle to prevent the growth of ingrown hairs that causes razor bumps (no one has time for that!). Here is a review from one of our customers:

"I have very sensitive skin and this has improved my elasticity and never irritated (even after shaving my legs!). Great product!"
