Goodbye Winter Skin: Try These Beauty Rituals to Get Spring Ready
With the new year well underway and the spring season approaching, it’s time for some change. A fresh start is always a good idea when it comes to a new season. We are finally saying goodbye to that cold weather and hello to sunshine and warmth.
Since winter has left (well, almost!), we’re ready to take on a few spring beauty rituals to kickstart our spring season. Here are a few of our favorites:
Go Natural with Your Skincare Products
Whenever the weather goes from frigid and cold to humid and moist, your skin goes through a change. Let’s face it, your skin either loves the cold months or the warm months.
During spring, the natural oils in our body come back into balance after the dry winter. Exfoliating your skin will help you achieve that healthy spring glow. Use a gentle body moisturizer such as coconut oil because it hydrates but also is light enough to not irritate your skin.
Book a Massage/Facial
Grab your bestie and book a massage or facial. Rejuvenation is important in the spring and this will help you start off the season the right way!
Get a Mani/Pedi
There’s nothing wrong with a little self-love. If you are waiting for an excuse to treat yourself, then here it is! Going to the nail salon is a great way to relax and reset.
Book a Hair Appointment
If you were waiting for a chance to switch things up, spring is the perfect time! Do you want to go lighter or just cut a few inches off? This is a great ritual as a new season is on the horizon.
Exercise
Taking care of yourself and exercising will not only help with confidence, but it will also make you glow from the inside out! Who said healthy beauty rituals are only physical products? When we exercise, we release little neurochemicals called endorphins. Endorphins reduce stress and anxiety, boost self-esteem, and make you happier!
Plan a Getaway
Two words: spring break. Spring break isn’t just for college students! Plan a small getaway for your family to soak up the sun or spend some time outdoors in nature. It’s a great way to hit reset and you will come back feeling fresh and rested.
