1. Fair Trade Farms & Carefully Selected Coconuts

Being Fair Trade Certified through Fair Trade USA means that our team ensures our growers and workers are paid appropriately for their time and work - creating positive change. This ensures their basic necessities are met – including clean water, amenities, and access to education. More importantly we stand strong against forced labor, child labor and human rights abuse – which can be seen throughout our world. We also respect the natural environments we source from, and supervise every aspect of production to bring the highest quality coconut oil to our customers and a prosperous future for our partners. Hand pressed, small-batch production without the use of heat ensures high quality coconut oil - carefully selecting coconuts that are 11-12 months old with the best source of MCT oil!

2. Coconut Oil Gets Packaged Sustainably

Once the coconut oil is created, it is then packaged in our beautiful blue sustainable packaging! We chose biodegradable laminate aluminum and glass packaging to ensure we help protect both the earth and our CoCo from plastic toxins.

3. Orders are Packaged Locally by Developmentally Disabled Adults

Once CoCo arrives in the States, our orders are packaged by mentally and developmentally disabled adults at Macdonald Training Center in Tampa, FL. They provide premier employment opportunities to these rockstars to help them lead the lives they choose. MTC packages our finished coconut oil and serves as our fulfillment center to the rest of the country. They provide high-quality job skills training in order to successfully hold paid positions in retail, warehousing, and distribution around the Tampa Bay Area. Their unique Controlled Environment training area provides job training in a highly regulated setting, offering trainees unparalleled employment experience.

4. Your Purchase Gives Two Meals to a Child in Need

Your purchase has power! Did you know there's nearly 16 million children hungry everyday? When you shop your Conscious Coconut essentials, it donates TWO meals to a child in need through Feeding America. Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the country, consisting of a network of more than 200 food banks. More than 21 million children receive free or reduced-priced meals through the National School Lunch Program during the school year. We love and support their BackPack Program, which helps kids eat on the weekends. Bags of food are distributed to more than 450,000 children at the end of each week. We need to ensure our future leaders, innovators, and creatives are getting the proper nutrition for their bellies and brains to grow throughout the most vital years of their lives, protecting them from the mental and physical stunting that can result from malnutrition.
