8 Ways to Add Self-Love into Your Daily Routine

Valentine’s Day is next week, and we’re here to help you look and feel your best! In our last blog post, Self-Care for Valentine’s Day, we talked about how you can achieve glowing skin for your special Valentine’s Day plans or date. We firmly believe that self-care = self-love. It’s important to love and cherish not only your mind, but your body too!

This list goes further than just Valentine’s Day. You’ll be able to use these self-love tips year round, so take notes and be sure to share with your friends and family to spread the love!

1.) Go for a Walk

Going for a walk can clear your mind and encourages your brain to release endorphins, a neurochemical that boots your mental health and decreases your sensitivity to stress. If you are having a hard day, try this!

2.) Speak Up for Yourself

This will give you confidence in those bad situations! Speaking up for yourself is a great form of self-love because it allows us to be happy with ourselves and move forward with what we love and believe in.

3.) Dry Brush

Dry brushing is one of our favorite forms of self-love. It increases circulation in the skin, stimulates the lymphatic system, reduces the appearance of cellulite, and exfoliates your skin. Give your body the love it deserves with our dry brushes, found here.

4.) Take a Yoga Class

Just like going for a walk, taking a yoga class helps to lower the levels of your stress hormones. When we are stressed, our bodies don’t perform as well as they should. Yoga helps to calm both the body and mind!

5.) Water a Plant

Think about it like this, you water your plant and it grows into a beautiful flower. Same goes for you, you need to be watering yourself so you can be your best and most beautiful self!

6.) Nourish Your Body with Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is insanely popular in the wellness space. Since it is high in healthy saturated fats, it has tremendous benefits for both internal and external wellness. Check out our blog post, Coconut Oil in Winter: Why You Need It This Season, or take it from this review from one of our customers:

“Two months and two tubes ... I love this product! The last two months that I have been using this coconut oil, I have not used lotion, and I have to say, my skin has never been better. ”

7.) Develop a Morning Routine and Stick to It

The way you spend your morning sets the tone for the entire day ahead. If you struggle with waking up in the morning, try waking up at the same time every day and make sure to schedule a time where you can focus on yourself. For example, that might be reading a book for 15 minutes when you wake up or watching your favorite show on Netflix while you are getting ready for the day.

8.) Take Rest Days

Your body needs to rest sometimes too! Having a rest day can help your body properly replace the energy stored in your muscle’s cells. It also allows your body to repair and reset.
